Welcome to NorBrick City Fire Department
The NorBrick City Fire Dept. was founded in 1992 by an ex-FDNY firefighter, named James Collins, who was 55 years old, and had an ambition to start a fire department, and found the answer to his prayers in NorBrick. At the time, the County fire department, Stud County Fire Department, who covered NorBrick, were streched to the max with covering NorBrick, and so the mayor decided to spend Ten Million Dollars on a brand new fire department, but he knew nothing about firefighting, and needed a chief, and found that man in James. James decided to spend all of the 10 Million on a two bay station (now Station 2), and two fire trucks. He bought a brand new Pierce Saber engine, and a brand new Pierce Commercial chassis dry-side tanker. This is where the NBCFD's relationship with Pierce begun. The station was opened by the mayor on the 1st of January, 1992, and is still used today. Ten years later, in 2002, It was time for James to retire. A new chief, John Edwards was found. In those ten years, NorBrick's population had doubled from 10,000 to 20,000, and so it was time for some more upgrades. In 2002, the new chief retired the Saber, but kept the tanker, and bought three new trucks. These were: a Brand new Pierce Quantum pumper, a brand new Sutphen pumper, and a second-hand 1990 Mack CF Aerialscope. He also opened another new two bay station (now Station 1). In 2004, the Mack was scrapped, and a new E-One 75' MMA was purchased. In 2011, the current chief, Gary Martinez was acquired. He loaned an E-One squad and HME Rescue from Atlantic Emergency inc. The reason why he did this is because we needed more trucks, but we didn't have the money to pay for them. In 2012, the HME was returned, the Sutphen and Pierce quantum were sold, and three new trucks were bought. These were: A Pierce Arrow XT dry-side tanker, a Pierce Arrow XT pumper, and a Freightliner M5 112/Pierce Respnder. In 2013, the E-One ladder was sold, the E-One squad returned, and a Pierce Velocity 100' RMA was bought. Recently, a new Medic and Battalion Chief were purchased. At the moment, NorBrick is covered by the NBCFD and the SCFD Station 1. We are almost all paid staff, with 5 volunteers. If you want to contact us, use the email address in the top right corner.
