What happenedMedic 1 and Doctor 1 attended a fallen person. They were taken to the hospital.
All EMS units, Engine 4 and 5, Control/ HAZMAT 1 and USAR 1 from BCFD attended a serious MVA which involved Ladder 1, rapid response 1 and a car. All injured persons were taken to the hospital. Check out the youtube vid here (there are 2 parts): www.youtube.com/user/dcatch1?feature=watch#p/u/15/oUi568AD4E BCFD Engines 1 (Now OOS) and 2, Squad 1, Battilion 1, and NBCFD units Engine 3 and Tanker 1 (Now OOS), Control/HAZMAT 1, Medics 1 and 2 and Fly-car 1 attended an extremely serious MVA involving 2 trucks, 1 car and a train. All the BCFD units arrived 1st, and all casualties were extracted. The train diver was badly shaken up, but uninjured, and was treated by the crew of Engine 2. The Garbage truck driver was killed instantly, and was taken to the medical examiner. The car driver suffered a severe severerd leg, which was amputated the next day at Stud County regioanal hospital, and he now has an artificial leg and is making an exeptional recovery. The other truck driver suffered a fractured skull and a broken rib, and he is at home now. The battilion chief of BCFD and the incident investigation crew from NBCFD concluded that the accident was caused via the garbage truck driver having a heart attack and swerving onto the train line. One fell in a hole, and the other was squashed by his own bike. The cyclist suffered a broken leg, and was taken to the Stud county regional hospital in Medic 20, and the other person suffered a fractured skull, a broken neck, a bruised rib, a chipped kneecap and a twisted ankle. Rescue 1 (old) was returning from a call when hooligans threw a petrol bomb at it, and Engine 3, Engine 5, and all EMS units in NorBrick responded. One FF suffered servere burns but survived, while unfortunatly, the other didn't. SCEMS supervisor 1, heavy rescue 1, rescue 2 and MedLink medic 20 responded to a large structure fire in Brickton central. Both ambos were used to transport patients. Squad 2, Ladder 1, and all EMS units in NorBrick responded to a 3 vehicle MVA with entrapment. They extricated 2 drivers and were both taken to the SCRH. SCEMS rescue 2 responded to a 1 car MVA in Brick Valley. The crew of BVFD's Ladder 10 extricated the casualty and he was taken to the Brick Valley hospital in Rescue 2. The BVFD rescue was busy at the time of the accident. Tanker 1, MedLink Medic 20, and SCFD Brush 1 responded to a small brush fire in rural Stud County. It was extinguished quickly, with no casualties. Engine 5 responded to a car fire in the centre of NorBrick. It was extinguished quickly, but the engine and front of the car were badly burnt. No casualties. Engine 5, Squad 2, Ladder 1, SCEMS Rescue 2, and MedLink Medic 20 responded to a structure fire in central NorBrick, only meters away from the car fire which happened only a few hours earlier. It was extinguished in about 1 1/2 hours, with 2 casualties who suffered burns and smoke inhalation. They have made a full recovery. |
